This lesson, like all others should be given in some quite place where there are no distractions. With the dog in front of you or by your side hold the leash in your right hand and give the command "sit". At the same time lean over and press his rump down with you left hand until he is in the sitting position. Keep doing this over and over soon he will get the idea and sit when he is told to do so. always remember to reward him whenever a good job is done.
