HOUSEHOLD ANTIDOTES FOR COMMON POISONS

Note that this is not the answer to all cases but works on most.

POISIONS ANTIDOTES ( for a 40 lb. dog )

Mercuric compounds......Egg white, milk half a cup

Arsenic............................Sddium thiasulphate (ordinary photographer's ("hypo")

Acids................................Bicarbonate of soda, eggshells, crushed plaster, 1 tablespoonful in water

Alkalis.............................Vinegar, lemon juice, several tablespoonsful

Led...................................Epsom salt, 1 teaspoonful in water

Phosphorus......................peroxide of hydgrogen, as directed fot emetic

Thallium...........................table salt, 1 teaspoonful in water

Strychnine........................Sedative drugs (nembutal, phenobarbital) 1 grain to every 7 lbs. of weight

Sedative drugs................Strong coffee about 1 cup

food poisoning.................Peroxide of hydrogen, empty bowels with enema of warm water, when stomach has settled give Epsom salt 1 teaspoonful in water

Snake bite.......................pet or carnation canned milk

Upset stomach.................Maloxx or raw egg

minor bleeding.................pour table salt on it (takes alot to coat it good)

Antifreeze........................Antizol
